History of USFloors

USFloors began as a small flooring company that was run in the spare bedroom of President and CEO, Piet Dossche. Since its founding in 2001, USFloors has become known in the flooring industry for its innovative products as the leading supplier of Unique and Sustainable Floors. A brief timeline of USFloors history  is below.

  • 2016, Jan

    The United States Patent Office issued Patent No. 9,234,357 entitled, “Engineered Waterproof Plastic Composite Flooring and Wall Covering Planks,” which is derived from USFloors’ original COREtec® patent. This Patent expands the claim coverage to include any plastic composite core, regardless of whether it contains wood dust or other additives and fillers.
  • 2015, Oct

    USFloors receives US Patent # 9,156,233 for COREtec® Engineered Luxury Vinyl. The patent covers all engineered flooring products with a WPC core and a veneer top layer, with or without an attached backing.
  • 2015, Jun

    USFContract launches Stratum Eiris at NeoCon 2015, which features a mixed, prepackaged box of planks that randomly contrast or blend from board to board.

    USFloors honored with Floor Covering News' 2015 Award of Excellence for Cork and Bamboo for the third consecutive year.
  • 2015, May

    USFloors has agreed to sponsor Indigo Pine, Clemson University’s 2015 solar home and entry into the U.S. Department of Energy’s 2015 Solar Decathlon project.

    USFloors adds Lifetime Petproof Warranty to the COREtec® Engineered Luxury Vinyl flooring collection.
  • 2015, May

    USFloors introduces COREtec® Engineered Luxury Vinyl flooring collection to Europe launching COREtec Plus® and COREtec ONE® through UK- based flooring distributor Headlam Group plc.
  • 2015, Mar

    Chinafloors enters into a non-exclusive COREtec licensing and marketing deal with USFloors in connection with Chinafloors’ introduction of its NOVO CORE line.

    Rick Morris joins USFloors as Vice President of Sales for the commercial sales division, USFContract.

    USFloors receives Notice of Allowance for COREtec patent application on the COREtec LVT collection: COREtec Plus®, COREtec Plus XL®, and COREtec ONE®

    Beaulieu America partners with USFloors to launch Bliss COREtec One.

    USFloors takes sales team to Portugal for extensive training on cork flooring harvesting, manufacturing, and sustainability.

    USFloors commissions first rooftop PV solar array totaling 31.5 Kw at corporate manufacturing facility in Dalton, GA
  • 2008, Aug

    USFloors open state of the art 100,000 sq.  ft. manufacturing  facilities in Dalton, GA which also house corporate headquarters.
  • 2006, Apr

    USFloors expands Dalton, GA distribution center to 100,000 sq. ft.
  • 2005, Sep

    USFloors acquires 48,000 sq. ft. distribution center
  • 2004, Dec

    USFloors acquires Natural Cork, the market leader in cork flooring, with a 50,000 sq. ft. distribution center located in Augusta, GA

    CorkUSFloors adds cork flooring to its product selection.
